We went on the zip-wire and sensory swing, we chose our own songs to listen to while on the swing.

Bendrigg 2022 | Day 2: Climbing and abseiling
This morning we went rock climbing and abseiling. We learnt about the different equipment needed and how to support each other when climbing.
Bendrigg 2022 | Day 1: Exploration
After becoming expert archers we began to explore Bendrigg and some of the activities here. We started with some orienteering following a map that took us all around Bendrigg where we found the parks, climbing area, sports hall and the sensory room.

We Started our Bendrigg adventure with archery. We learnt how to keep safe and how to aim and fire at the targets!

This morning a group of pupils from Rowan Tree Primary School have set out on a brilliant adventure to Bendrigg Trust, a non-profit organization set in Old Hutton, England. Bendrigg provide a range of adventurous activities, led by highly qualified & experienced Tutors, for all ages and abilities. To find out more be sure to click one of the links provided.

Regional Boccia Finals
Six pupils from Rowan Tree represented Greater Manchester in the regional Boccia finals. Their skills as well as their confidence improved throughout the competition! We didn’t win it this time but all pupils revived a certificate and medal for taking part! Well done!
Rowan 2 visit SPACE
Rowan 2 and Fir 2 got to visit the SPACE centre this week in Preston. They started with a sing song on the bus, then they went into the centre for a full hour of fun. They were able to change the room to suit the needs of the pupils, they really loved the PIXAR and Disney themes. There was a sunken ball pool, large padded slide, cause and response piano, musical floor, swings, water beds, ball trails and bubble tubes. They finished off with lunch in the café and then back on the bus for another sing song on the way home.
Pine 2 attend Easter service at St Philips Church
Pine 2 went to visit St Philips Church for an Easter service on Tuesday 29th march.
They joined in with some hymns, read out the Easter story and performed ‘Spring Chicken’
Church members commented on how ‘sensible’ and ‘grown up’ our pupils were!

Rowan 1’s Sensory Adventure
Rowan 1 have had an amazing trip this week. These pictures show us having a fabulous time in SPACE, where we experienced different lights and and tried different sensory equipment. Their day was complete after a wonderful session on a local nature park and children’s play area. The learners loved exploring the garden and crawled through tunnels, climbed on the steps and found lots of different natural things to explore.
Elm 1 Swimming Lessons
On Monday Elm 1 went swimming. The children are getting so clever dressing and undressing themselves and are becoming more independent. The children enjoyed splashing in the water and some of us practiced kicking our legs in the water too. You also followed instructions super work Elm 1.
