Ancient Egypt in Oak 2
Oak 2 have been learning about Ancient Egypt.
The children found out that the Ancient Egyptians built lots of huge pyramids, they decided to make their own pyramids using clay.
The children enjoyed rolling, moulding and shaping the dough into a pyramid shape.
Maple 2 go Swimming
The pupils in Maple 2 have been attending swimming lesson for the past few weeks and they have enjoyed every minute of it.
Each pupil has become more confident, trying out and learning new skills.
Today, they played the animal game where our swimming instructor held up an animal or sea creature and the pupils had to follow the action.
Some new skills learnt today were star fish floating and bubble blowing. Well done, Maple 2!
Fir 2 are Independent Learners
This week Fir 2 have been working hard on tasks independently.
We have been working on our fine motor skills, sensory play, and independent reading.
Fir 2 have been encouraged to get their own resources and put them away and take responsibility for their belongings.
Magic Potions in Elm 1
Ibbity Bobbity Boo!
Elm 1 are reading Room on the broom. They repeated key phrases from the story and and turned themselves into witches.
The children made a magic potion and took a ride on a witches broomstick.
Birch 1’s Fantastic Play Skills
Birch has been practicing their play skills this week.
The children have been learning how to interact with their friends and share their favourite toys.
Ash 1′ Developing Skills
In Ash 1 this week, the children have been developing their reading, fine and gross motor skills.
They enjoyed manipulating play dough, reading lots of books
and exploring their very own sensory break room.
Berries’ Adventures Under the Sea.
Berries have had lots of adventures Under the Sea this week. They used the Sensory room to create an under the sea world where the children swam with the Rainbow fish. They all had fun being under the sea and catching the bubbles. When Subhaan saw the room he said, “it’s amazing!”.
During the week the children also worked on developing their cutting, writing and number skills.
Berries are excited about what adventure they will go on next.
Acorns Seaside Learning
This week Acorns have enjoyed some ‘fun at the beach’ sensory play. They all used their hands to explore and experiment with different textures of the yellow & blue rice and the green seaweed spaghetti.
The children counted the shells and even added a few of our sea creatures then got nets to catch them!
