To conclude a fun filled day of activities, staff and pupils presently staying at Bendrigg met to discuss and celebrate all their achievements over the past two days. Learners enjoyed light refreshments and toasting marshmallows.
Simon our Bendrigg Tutor presented each child with a certificate.
This afternoon, pupils presently on Residential have been out exploring Kendall’s canal within canoes!
Here at Bendrigg our residential service users have been exploring the onsite Sensory Swing and accompanying Sensory Studio, found within an adjacent building upon the Bendrigg grounds.
Learners took it in turns to access the swing under the supervision and support of Bendrigg staff.
This morning we’ve loved taking turns to access the outdoor zip line. Pupils were super brave and independently jumped from the platform or pulled the cord on the Zipline seat in order to set off.
Bendrigg Tutors have commented on our Year Six learners fantastic listening skills and courage.
Following a delicious dinner we’ve loved an Indoor Caving session.
Pupils enjoyed all the thrills of caving within a heated room with ambience music. Pupils enjoyed crawling through the different walk ways to different slides and sensory rooms.
We’ve arrived here at Bendrigg and been treated to a lovely lunch as well as an overview of what our stay is going to look like.
Learners have enjoyed accessing and exploring the tube slide, a long python spanning a great distance that requires a special blanket or rucksack to ride in.
Pupils have also WOW’d their teachers by giving the indoor rock climbing wall a go.
Later on, we ventured down to explore the different specialist play areas.
This morning a group of pupils from Rowan Tree Primary School have set out on a brilliant adventure to Bendrigg Trust, a non-profit organization set in Old Hutton, England. Bendrigg provide a range of adventurous activities, led by highly qualified & experienced Tutors, for all ages and abilities. To find out more be sure to click one of the links provided.
