Valentines Messages
Ash 1 have been doing lots of lovely learning in relation to our PSHE topic “Looking after me and others”. Pupils have been attempting to distinguish between older and younger people, before suggesting different ways in which we can care for them.
One of the ways they’ve gone about this is by creating a heart filled with lovely messages for members of the local assisted living facility known as Belong Atherton.
Valentines Art Gallery
For our Rowan Tree Reward day for Spring 1 the School Council choose to have a Valentines Art Gallery. All classes were tasked to produce any type of Artwork for the gallery linked to their Art topic.

Wellbeing Committee
We are pleased to introduce the Wellbeing Committee chaired by our Wellbeing and Hospitality Lead Barbara Critchley. The main role of the committee will be to communicate, participate, motivate, and support the wellbeing of both staff and pupils. The committee will look at our present practice and continue to build on it to make Rowan Tree Primary the best place it can be for anyone that visits us.

Pine 2’s Science Experiment
Which Material will Keep Teddy Dry?
This week Pine 2 have been conducting an experiment. This term their learning has been all about materials and their properties. They tested their knowledge by making predictions about which material will keep the teddy dry. Then we tested our predictions by covering the teddy with the material and pouring water over it. Teddy was very wet by the end, but the children learnt a great deal about the properties of different materials.
Great job Pine 2!
