Visit to Pennington Park

Cedar 2 visited Pennington Park and had a fabulous time. They explored the environment and the equipment and even had time for a little picnic. It was a lovely sunny day and everyone enjoyed playing in the sunshine.

Yoga Club

Yoga Club is run on a Friday afternoon as part of our PSHE Clubs by one of our qualified HLTA’s who has a passion for Yoga.

All pupils have the opportunity to access Yoga Club over the academic year.

Pupils practice breathing techniques and various Yoga poses in a calm environment supported by visual symbols and actions.

Rugby Star

We are incredibly proud of Kian and his achievements taking part within a Rugby tournament over the weekend. Kian couldn’t wait to tell his friends all about it and his successful attempts to score two tries, as this is a sport that he really enjoys.

Cohen our Leigh Leopard’s LD Super League champion!

We are so proud of Cohen in Willow 2. He has started to play in Leigh Leopard’s LD Super League tag rugby team.

Cohen played his first match against Salford a few weeks ago and even scored a try. We are so pleased to see that Cohen is taking all of the skills he has learnt in school during P.E and Sports competition and using this to play for a team outside of school.

Fantastic Cohen!

Cooking Club

For those pupils who have a special interest in the Cooking and Nutrition elements of our DT curriculum, we offer a Cooking Club to Stretch and Challenge the pupils.
This afternoon, the pupils had a special visitor at Cooking Club. Grace, who is from The Philippines joined to teach us how to make her favourite Filipino dessert, Halo Halo.
Grace also answered some questions about the Philippines and we looked on Google Maps to find it.
Great work all!
