Fir 2 make a Splash
The pupils in Fir 2 love swimming. This half term the focus is developing their independence in and out of the water, they are working on independent dressing skills and independently moving through the water without touching the bottom!
Cedar 2 are choosing stories!
Cedar 2 have been listening to fabulous, exciting stories during their English lessons. Pupils demonstrated the ability to choose their favourite story through their preferred communication method.
Poplar 1 Developing attention skills with Attention Autism
The children in Poplar have been working very hard to develop their attention skills. They have been doing regular Attention Autism sessions. Some are themed on phonics; maths and our most recent session was all about the Nativity story. The children really enjoy it and have made so much progress in it since September. Well done Poplar 1!
Elm 1 go to Space
This week the pupils in Elm 1 enjoyed a trip out to Space, Preston. The Space Centre is a state of the art sensory rooms providing a world of multi-sensory stimulation which the pupils took full advantage of. They even stayed and enjoyed their lunch in new surroundings.
Curious Critters in Ash 1!
Ash 1 enjoyed visiting the Curious Critters session. The children listened, looked at and touched the different creatures. They touched a snake, skinny pig, cockroach and observed a tarantula. They were very brave!

Non-Fiction Day
During this week, all pupils across school had the opportunity to celebrate Non-Fiction Day by exploring both Halloween and Bonfire Night.
The pupils took part in quizzes, arts and crafts, Attention Autism, Messy Play and much more!

Art Workshop at Atherton St George’s Primary School
On Friday 29th September members from our School Council attended an Art Workshop at Atherton St George’s Primary School. We helped to design and make clay bricks that will be used for a sign in Tyldesley Town Centre. Lots of Primary Schools from Atherton and Tyldesley have worked together to create this sign.
