Pine 2 had a trip to Smithills Open Farm.
The children saw lots of different farm animals and they even got to see some meerkats and wallabies. The wallabies had come all the way from Australia! Pine 2 used their symbols to take turns and requested which animals they would like to see. They also enjoyed a tractor ride which took the children to see some horses and donkeys in a field – the driver let the children feed them some bread. To top it all off, Pine 2 enjoyed some ice-cream in the sunshine!
Looks like a fabulous trip, I wonder if you were able to use any of the skills in farm care that we have been developing during our weekly visits from the Little Barn Farm.
