Easter Half Term School Club

This half term in partnership with Smart Body Sports we have been able to facilitate a series of day sessions in school for parents/carers. Pupils have enjoyed coming into school for a few hours and enjoying a variety of exciting activities from Rock Climbing to an Easter Egg Hunt!

It was really appreciated that the staff gave up their time to help like this.  Samuel had a lovely time & was in a great mood when he came back.  – Year 5 Parent

Jack enjoys going to school, it break up his time off and is a huge help for us with being able to do food shopping and house work.  It’s very much appreciated. – Year 3 Parent

Archie really enjoyed it. Was really excited driving into school on both days. Also split up the Easter break for him and kept him busy and engaged in things he enjoyed. Supported me being able to work in the first week as couldn’t take leave both weeks and I really appreciate the time staff gave up to provide the opportunity. – Year 4 Parent

Science Week

Everyone at Rowan Tree had a great time taking part in Science Week.  They have been exploring different animals and sheep walking with Little Barn Farm.  They found out different ways that they could move during the sponsored Easter bounce, and explored forces with parachute games.  They took part in lots of different experiments, including making bottle rockets.  The week finished with a whole school Science and DT rocket making competition in the hall, all the entries were fantastic but they winners were Berries, Cedar 2 and Oak 2,

Sponsored Bounce

On the morning of Tuesday the 28th of March we held an Easter sponsored bounce with Spring characters in order to raise vital funds for school.

Donations received went towards continuing to provide our pupils with exciting and fun activities and opportunities. Pupils completed upwards of a hundred bounces on both the big trampoline and an ensemble of Flexi-Bounce trampettes within the Immersive Learning Environment, managing to raise over £1000!

As always, thank you for your continued support and generosity!

Church Arts and Craft Afternoon

We were delighted to welcome members of a church within our local community for a fun filled afternoon of Arts and Crafts alongside some Easter treats!

Learners in KS2 took this time to share some of the different things they have been learning and how this related to the different activities they were completing.

This event was organised by our Assistant Art Lead, Miss Robinson. Well done to everyone whom took part!

Easter Service

To support the learning our pupils have been doing in class around Easter, they visited their friends at our local church to join in their Easter celebration service. The pupils learnt about how God shares his love with everyone and hopes we continue to pass on this love to everyone we meet.
