Children’s Adventure Farm Trust

Thank you for the adventure!

We enjoyed a ‘brunch’ for our final meal at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, tasting lots of yummy fresh produce prior to a homemade birthday cake!

Later on, the children were presented by CAFT representative Donna with our certificates and a personalised bag containing lots of exciting things for us to take home. They have all had a really fantastic time and made lots of special memories on this very special trip.

This morning before we had brunch the children fed the animals one last time before saying a fond farewell.

The children have all been absolutely amazing as Apprentice Farmers and seem to have taken great joy in caring for all their new animal friends.

The children really enjoyed spending some time in the Games Room after a busy morning.  We played some different board games. We played video games on the PlayStation and the

 Nintendo Switch, taking turns and sharing with our friends. We also explored a variety of different toys that were available for us to use.

Some of the children even spent some time in the Farm’ on site Sensory Studio, enjoying the interactive chroma tube, water bed and other interactive equipment around the

 room.

In the afternoon the group set off to the climbing wall, we are the first to use the climbing wall since CAFT’s reopening earlier this year.

Following on, we sat around the fire pit and with the support of our CAFT tour guide Julie, roasted some marshmallows that we enjoyed eating afterwards!

This morning after breakfast we ventured out into the Forest for some activities in the woods! First, we enjoyed creating some self portraits on clay using various materials from the environment such as conquers, moss, sticks and grass.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a natural resource obstacle course and a sensory foot path, walking barefooted along the various natural surfaces.

We were fortunate to receive some sunshine and set out to feed the animals. The children really loved walking sunflower the sheep on her lead and watching the ducks on the pond play together. The animals were very grateful to be fed nicely.

We enjoyed spending some time racing down the inflatable slide and jumping around.

We’ve enjoyed creating our very own bottles to use for the duration of our stay, alongside a variety of other expressive art and design activities.
