Support our school

At Rowan Tree, we take immense pride in offering a comprehensive education that goes beyond traditional boundaries. Our commitment to excellence extends to providing invaluable opportunities for our learners and parents/carers, opportunities that set us apart from other educational institutions. We strive to create an environment where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

We have launched a fundraising campaign on JustGiving to support the continued provision of the exceptional opportunities for our students. Your contribution will not only help us sustain these enriching experiences but also ensure that every child in our school has the chance to create lasting memories and acquire skills that will serve them well into the future.

We understand that financial commitments vary, and any amount or fundraising you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Your support, whether big or small, makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.

Tracey’s Toe Tappers

Welcome to “Tracey’s Toe Tappers” – our newest PHSE club making Friday afternoons unforgettable! Led by the talented Tracey, who generously dedicates her day off to bring the joy of tap dancing to our students. With a background as a qualified dance teacher, Tracey’s wealth of experience ensures an inclusive and exciting atmosphere.

In the second week of our toe-tapping journey, pupils dived into the rhythm of “Dancing In The Street” during warm-up sessions. The studio echoed with the delightful sounds of toe and heel taps as they practiced, with a sprinkle of fun added through an enjoyable parachute song. Join us every Friday as we dance our way into a world of rhythm and camaraderie with “Tracey’s Toe Tappers”!

Willow 2 Swings into Multiples Madness!

In our engaging Maths session, we had a blast practicing counting in multiples of 2’s, 5’s, 10’s, 3’s, and 4’s. As part of the interactive activity, some children articulated a multiplication factor while catching the ball, while others, enjoying the swings, tapped Emma’s hands with their feet and called out the next multiple each time they swung forward. Kudos to Willow 2 for the superb teamwork and effort!

Oak 2 Soars and Scores

Today, selected members of Oak 2 had the honour of representing our school at a sports event held at Howe Bridge. They had a fantastic time and exhibited exemplary behaviour throughout the day. The event kicked off with a fitness class, followed by a thrilling showcase of their skills as they transformed into scooter stars on the skate park – a display of both talent and courage.

Following a brief break, they engaged in games around the soft play area before heading for lunch. In the afternoon, their prowess continued to shine as they conquered climbing walls, concluding the day with a session of archery. The snapshots captured in these pictures provide just a glimpse of the amazing experiences they had.

Maple 2 Explores Wigan

In Geography, Maple 2 is currently immersed in exploring Wigan and its local places. As part of their Design and Technology (DT) adventure on local food, they recently crafted lobbies. The class actively participated in peeling, chopping, and mixing ingredients to create these local delights. Looking ahead, Maple 2 is eagerly anticipating further culinary discoveries as they continue to delve into the diverse delicacies associated with Wigan.

Pine 2’s Rainbow fish collage 🐠

Pine 2 have been diligently working to explore and describe various materials, incorporating terms such as smooth, rough, soft, and shiny. Acquiring the skill of creating collages, they adeptly cut materials into shape and affixed them. Kudos to everyone for their efforts in assisting the Rainbow Fish in regaining its scales, striving to cover the entire area, and employing a diverse range of materials and colors. Well done!

Birch 2’s Natural Sculptures

Facing the chilly weather, Birch 2 ventured outdoors to Nature’s Den this week. Their task was straightforward: collect sticks for a Design and Technology (DT) project focusing on homes. Pupils diligently worked on building a house using the gathered sticks. This hands-on experience in design and construction added a practical dimension to their learning.

Cedar 2: Snow Adventures and Frosty Fun

Cedar 2 had a great time in the snow, all bundled up to stay warm. Despite the cold, they decided to build a small snowman and had a sizeable snowball fight. Impressively, they threw their snowballs over the fence into the Nature’s Den area. The photos capture the simple joy and camaraderie of their snowy day.
