On Tuesday 8th March we recognised International Women’s Day and combined this with girls in football. The Youth Sport Trust have a real passion for developing girls’ football and promoted the active participation of girls playing football on International Women’s Day.
Rowan Tree hosted a girl’s football activity afternoon. Hope Special School and Meadow Bank School came to take part if different football activities and finished with a full match competing against each other.
All pupils showed progression in their football skills throughout the afternoon as well as developing their confidence and social skills.
